I'm a staunch user advocate that prioritizes conducting user research to understand behaviors, needs, and pain points so that we can focus on solving the right problems.

-Partner with product owners to articulate product visions and goals that meet the specific needs of target customers and increase customer satisfaction.
-Help entrepreneurs launch new ventures or scale existing businesses by de-risking their operations and developing a coherent experience strategy.

Before Experience Design
12 years Project Manager, AV Systems Integration
I managed complex audiovisual installations in arenas, classrooms, large conference rooms, council chambers, and auditoriums. I oversaw projects from the Design/Engineering phase through Installation, Programming & Testing.
I typically managed 15-20 projects at a time, the most being 25! I oversaw the budget, tracked low voltage permits, managed inventory, technicians, and subcontractors, and even troubleshoot issues onsite.
One of the best parts of being a Project Manager was experiencing the fulfillment of a completed project in the face of the existential challenges of bringing different brands, companies, and people together for a common cause. As a Project Manager, I constantly focused on delivering experiences that made my client's jobs easier.

We are also resourceful and resilient; Growing up on the island, I've witnessed many examples of innovation & ingenuity from my experiences in and around my community which have influenced my journey. Wherever this journey takes me, I always promise to be a positive example for Kittitian people everywhere.

I work with businesses to help them strategize and innovate solutions to complex problems. I use Strategy, Design Thinking, and Human-centered design to educate businesses about user needs and behaviors, then leverage user feedback to create or improve solutions.

Product Designer- Contract
I worked closely with the Business and Product team to introduce User-centered design into an Agile Development environment.
I collaborated on projects across multiple business segments to create and improve mobile, web, and desktop solutions at various Product life cycle stages.

Product Designer- Contract
I collaborated with fellow designers, developers, and Product Managers to redesign Identification/ Identity management software in alignment with modern User experience standards.
I encouraged leadership to embrace User-Centered Design at the organizational level. I encouraged team members to think past the graphic nature of Design. I helped to introduce whiteboarding sessions, workshops, Wireframing, and Rapid Prototyping to flush out ideas before making significant financial commitments.
2012 - 2017
Project Manager, Systems Integration
I managed the installation of integrated Audio Visual systems for companies like AVI-SPL, Digital Video, Systems, INNUVO, and Integrated Security Systems (Convergint Technolgies LLC.)While working with these companies, I oversaw the installation of complex audio-visual solutions in arenas, classrooms, large conference rooms, council chambers, and auditoriums.
I collaborated with Design Engineers, Programmers, and Technicians to integrate different brands of Microphones, Speakers, Displays/Projectors, and audio/video sources into less intimidating easy-to-use systems controllable by touchscreen.
